Alessandro Pirozzi, Proprietor of Cucina Alessa, grew up in Italy as the only boy in a family of four children. His grandmother took him into the kitchen to teach him how to cook, and his love for food and preparing delicious meals grew from there. Following in a long line of family restaurateurs, Alessandro has been in the restaurant industry for the last 22 years.

Lucky for Surf City Italian food fanatics, Alessandro opened his second of two OC eateries (the first opened in Newport Beach last year) this past spring. The restaurant in Huntington Beach quickly become a local favorite.

Cucina Alessa is a real family affair with a large part of the menu items coming straight from Alessandro's mother and grandmother's family recipes and more items being added all the time. Alessandro's cousin Angelo, with whom he went through culinary school and has worked with off and on over the last 22 years, has joined him in operating the restaurant.
